History

The Barnard Opportunity Program (BOP Scholars Program) at Barnard College was established to give high-achieving out of state students the academic and financial support necessary to achieve success at Barnard and beyond. Since the program’s inception, Barnard has continued to demonstrate its unparalleled commitment to college access for students who qualify financially and academically for this program. Admission to the BOP Scholars Program at Barnard College is highly selective and includes consideration of the student’s high school academic record, letters of recommendation, extracurricular activities, and a possible interview. There is currently no separate application for this program. Eligible students are identified as BOP Scholars during the admissions cycle.
