The Alcohol and Substance Awareness Program serves
the Barnard Community providing drug and alcohol education, prevention, and
intervention efforts on campus. Our purpose is to promote the healthy
development of students enabling them to reach their full potential. Our
aim is to encourage students to explore their options and ultimately make
choices that are positive for them as individuals.
Students have varied needs, so we provide different resources. We work with
students who are:
in recovery
currently using alcohol and/or drugs and questioning their use
students who are in a relationship with someone (parent, partner, or sibling) who is using alcohol or drugs
students who are concerned about a friend's use
students who are seeking information
We offer both individual and group counseling at no charge.
