Sarah Harte has worked in the field of substance misuse and co-occurring mental health problems for over 15 years. Ms. Harte began her career working with adolescents who struggled with severe emotional problems in both Northern Arizona and Los Angeles. After relocating to NYC in 2001, Ms. Harte's work has primarily been in the field of substance misuse and addition treatment, both with adolescents and adults. Prior to joining Barnard, Ms. Harte was the Clinical Director of an outpatient addiction treatment facility in Brooklyn, NY. Ms. Harte is also an Adjunct Lecturer at Columbia University, teaching courses on clinical work with substance users. Ms. Harte received her BA in Psychology from Northern Arizona University and her Master's of Social Work from New York University.
