Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton addresses the 585 graduating seniors of Barnard College at its May 18, 2009, commencement ceremonies. Clinton received the Barnard Medal of Distinction, the College’s highest honor. She was joined by Medalist recipients Indra K. Nooyi, CEO of PepsiCo; Irene J. Winter, Boardman Professor of Fine Arts at Harvard University; and Kay C. Murray, former general counsel to the New York City Department of Juvenile Justice.
