Use the menu bars above and to the left and you'll find a general
overview of the Counseling Center and the counseling process, along with
our
office hours and location. You can learn about
the specific services and programming that we offer Barnard students
both inside and outside our office. We've also included virtual
brochures, a psychology/emotional health "hot links" page, and a
calendar of campus and community events that relate to self-development
and awareness.
We have lots of plans for the continued improvement of our Web site, so
be sure to check back to see
what's new!
But remember, no Web site
can take the place of a counselor to help you work through a difficult
concern -- and no problem is too large or too small to
bring to Counseling. Stress, relationship problems, academic
pressure, questions about sexuality, feeling lonely -- these are only a
few of the issues that we address with students, as well as more serious
difficulties such as eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. So,
don't be alone with it -- give us a call at 854-2092 to
make an appointment. |

This is especially the case in any form of
mental health emergency. If an emergency occurs during office hours,
call the Furman Counseling Center at 854-2092, or Health Services at
854-2091. If an emergency arises after hours or on the
weekends, telephone consultation is available by calling the After-hours
Psychological Emergency Lines at (212) 854-5727. |
