The notion of "academic pursuit" can become literal when Barnard students begin their senior theses or independent study projects. Named travel grants and fellowships open doors for students to conduct research in museums, libraries, medical clinics, archeological digs, and other venues near and far. These grants help students expand horizons and build confidence while reinforcing academic excellence.
