MISSION NYNY closes the opportunity gap through an intensive career development and leadership training program that enables high-potential, first-generation college students to realize their career aspirations.
Two-year fellowship program to help students define/ refine their aspirations and give them the confidence, information and access necessary to succeed
Advanced Career and Leadership Development Curriculum
- Life Planning – Fellows will develop life plans that articulate a clear path to their personal and professional goals
- Career Development – Fellows benefit from training in public speaking, personal finance, written communication and interviewing
- Community Leadership Projects – Fellows will lead projects aimed at improving success rates for similarly-situated young people

- Develop core skills for success, such as communication and relationship management skills

Expectations:
Time commitment
- 1st year in the program: 4-7 hour Saturday sessions, twice per month
- 2nd year in the program: 4-7 hour Saturday sessions, every other month
- Assignments between sessions (~1 hour per week)
