Patricia D. Denison

Senior Lecturer in English

Patricia D. Denison, Senior Lecturer in English and Acting Chair of the Department of Theatre, joined the Barnard faculty in 1990. Dr. Denison teaches dramatic literature in both the Department of English and the Department of Theatre at Barnard. She has taught such courses as "Nineteenth-Century Social Drama," "Modern American Drama and Performance," "Restoration and 18th-Century Drama," "Shakespeare in Performance," "The Uses of Speech," and "Victorian and Modern Drama."

Dr. Denison has published articles on Victorian drama, modern British drama, and American drama. She is finishing a book on Arthur W. Pinero and late-nineteenth century British drama.
