Barnard's 2011-2012 Phi Beta Kappa Inductees

Each year, outstanding members of Barnard's senior class are selected for membership in Phi Beta Kappa, founded in 1776 and the nation’s oldest academic honor society. Based on the exceptional quality and breadth of their general scholarship, students are elected in both the fall and the spring semesters by members of the Barnard faculty who are themselves members of Phi Beta Kappa.
