Economics major Grace Shadid '16 fell in love with pole vaulting at a young age. After being recruited by Columbia University's track and field team, Grace chose to attend Barnard because of the flexibility of the College's curriculum and the access to University athletics.

Last week, Associate Professor of History Nara Milanich penned a New York Times letter to the editor in response to an article on mistaken paternity (Link to article). Prof. Milanich, who is currently researching a book about the topic, The Birth of Uncertainty: A Global History of the Paternity Test, is under contract with Harvard University Press.
