Barnard College New Student Orientation Program (NSOP)
The New Student Orientation Program (NSOP) is a joint program for incoming students at Barnard College, Columbia College, and the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS). NSOP is a week-long event that introduces students to life at each individual college, life within the greater Columbia University community, and life in New York City. New student orientation includes programs for parents too. Please visit the NSOP web page for more information.

Move-In Days
Move-in day for first-year students is Monday of the week prior to start of classes. The move-in date for transfer students is Wednesday. Move-in days for returning students are Thursday - Saturday. For more details about this process, please visit the Barnard Residential Life & Housing website.

Family Weekend
Barnard Family Weekend takes place on the Barnard campus Friday and Saturday, usually the third week of October. Click here for further information.

Commencement 
Spring commencement is held in May. Winter commencement is in February. Please contact the Office of the Dean of Studies for information, including dates, locations and other details.
