Our Programs
- SUMMER PROGRAMS: As a student in our Liberal Arts Intensive or our Summer in the City Program, you may choose a specific area in which to concentrate or try your hand at a couple of different topics. Alternatively, broaden your dance horizons and engage New York City through Dance in the City. Last, but certainly not least, you may choose to make a difference with the Young Women’s Leadership Institute (for women only).
- Our SATURDAY SCIENCE SEMINARS, or S-Cubed, is a remarkable series which brings together 11th grade girls who exhibit strong academic ability and enthusiasm for sciences at the college level. Over the course of five Saturdays, Barnard faculty from different scientific disciplines present interactive explorations of science in challenging and lively classes. The experience is capped by a celebration of science studies in a NYC landmark.
- COLLEGE PLANNING DAY is an opportunity for juniors to get a jump start on finding a good college fit and presenting your best in college applications. In one afternoon, learn about college life from a diverse panel of Barnard students, and then attend your choice of two workshops presented by admissions officers while family members learn about financing their child’s college education.
- STEP is a New York State Department of Education initiative designed to provide services to students from underrepresented populations or economically disadvantaged backgrounds seeking careers in the sciences, mathematics and technological fields, and the licensed professions.
