Email Server Information

Barnard:

• Incoming Email Server for Students: eclipse.barnard.edu
• SSH for Students: eclipse.barnard.edu
• Outgoing Email Server: smtp.barnard.edu

*All Barnard email servers require secure connections (configuration guidelines are located here).

Columbia:

• Incoming Email Server: IMAP (recommended); mail.columbia.edu
• Incoming Email Server: POP; mail.columbia.edu
• Cunix: cunix.cc.columbia.edu
• Outgoing Email Server: send.columbia.edu *requires secure connection

*Columbia's instructions on Authenticated SMTP are on the CUIT site. There are also instructions on connecting securely to Cunix using Pine.

Road Runner:

Time Warner's SMTP server: smtp-server.nyc.rr.com

AOL:

AOL's Dial-Up SMTP server: za.mx.aol.com

Other email providers:

If you would like to configure another type of webmail (e.g. Gmail, Earthlink, etc.) for use with the client on campus, you must contact them for server information.
