OL Group Meetings on Lehman Lawn
Please take a few minutes to browse the NSOP website to ensure that you are aware of pertinent information (dates, times, etc...). Please check out our FAQs section to help answer any questions you may have. Still have questions? Email us at orientation@barnard.edu

The New Student Orientation Program (NSOP) is the largest program that comes out of this office. New students arrive on campus approximately one week prior to classes, where they are introduced to all of the resources that are available to them during their time at Barnard. Not only do we plan and implement Barnard-specific programs, but we also host programs in conjunction with our Columbia constituents. We believe it is essential to provide opportunities for students from all four of the undergraduate schools (BC, CC, GS, and SEAS) to embrace campus life together.

Family Programs
Family Programs take place on your student's specific Move-In Day. For example, if your student is a first-year student (non-international), your Family Programs will take place on Sunday, August 26th. Programs focusing on campus life (Residential Life, Public Safety and Student Life) will be offered that afternoon, along with an official welcome by President Spar, as well as a complimentary bagged lunch. Family Farewells take place at 3:30pm.
The official Schedule Book will not be released until August 24th. However, feel free to review last year's schedule to get an idea of what the week will look like! Please keep in mind that some events will change and that these posted schedules are simply a guide.
