Barnard in the Classroom

Tuesday, November 18, 2014
6 PM
Sulzberger Parlor, 3rd Floor Barnard Hall

In honor of our 125th anniversary, faculty from Barnard’s history department, history graduates pursuing careers in education, finance, and communications, and Barnard trustees discuss Barnard’s mission and its impact on women’s higher education. Panelists explore such topics as men teaching in female-only classrooms; the history of College admissions; daughters of immigrants; how the Barnard student profile differs from those of the other Seven Sisters schools; and Freda Kirchwey ’15 and the 1912 banning of sororities.
