The Career Development department is seeking a Career Counselor for all current students. The counselor will assist in developing and administering special "outreach" programs to inform students of the need for long-term career planning and career development, regardless of academic discipline. Will also help plan and execute campus-wide career development seminars and workshops. S/he will assess individual career development needs; help students identify appropriate career choices and to support students secure internship/employment opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education or Counseling with 1 to 2 years of counseling or related experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills especially the ability to build a rapport with students, faculty, and employers required. Strong presentation and computer skills also necessary.
