Summer Housing Cancellations
The Summer Housing Contract period covers from when a student signs the Housing Contract through the conclusion of their assignment period. To request a release from the financial obligation of the Summer Housing Contract, a student must submit the Summer Housing Cancellation form. Failure to occupy an assigned space does not constitute cancellation of the Summer Housing Contract and all financial obligations remain.
A cancellation is not effective until all such applicable conditions below are satisfied:
- The Summer Housing Cancellation Form has been submitted on the Housing Portal.
- If currently living in campus housing for the cancelled period, the student must:
- Fully vacate College housing along with their belongings.
- Submit a check-out envelope at their residence hall front desk and returns all keys issued by the College.
- Complete the Confirm Check Out form on the Housing Portal.
The cancellation fee schedule below outlines the charges that would be applied based on the effective cancellation date. Students who are required to move out of College housing for reasons of academic or disciplinary dismissal will not be eligible for a refund and remain liable for housing charges.
Students who cancel during occupancy must vacate within 48 hours of submitting the Housing Cancellation form and/or taking a leave of absence from the College; otherwise, additional cancellation fees and/or disciplinary action may apply.
It is not possible to cancel for just Block A or Block B. Students who wish to only be in summer housing for just one block must apply for "Block A only" or "Block B only" instead.
Note: students who cancel summer housing will be ineligible for the May and/or August Interim period and will be charged the cancellation fee if applicable (see "May Interim" and "August Interim" below).

Students who cancel Block A will be ineligible for the May Interim period and will be charged the cancellation fee if applicable (see "May Interim" below).
Students who signed up for "Full Summer" cannot cancel for just Block A. Students who wish to only be in summer housing for just Block A must submit the "Block A only" application.

The May Interim cancellation fee is charged in addition to any applicable cancellation fee for Block A or Full Summer.
