Now in its ninth season, the Barnard Project and New York Live Arts present the first international collaboration creating an unforgettable experience: the “wunderkind of South African Dance.” Barnard students work with cutting-edge choreographers Boyzie Cekwana, Lance Gries, Annie-B Parson, and Donna Uchizono.

Edward Villella, beloved performer and National Medal of the Arts recipient, will discuss his extraordinary career and the changing role of ballet in contemporary life. 

Cutting-edge choreographers Faye Driscoll, Francesca Harper, Heidi Henderson, and Bill Young, premiere new works made specifically for Barnard/Columbia dancers during a semester-long creative process.
