Tuition, Fees and Scholarships

Summer in the City, 4-Week Session

This amount includes tuition, and for residential students, room and board, as well as lunch for commuter students. Not included in this charge is the  cost of books, supplies, travel expenses (for both classes and extracurricular excursions), and incidentals.

Liberal Arts Intensive, 1-Week Session

This amount includes tuition, and for residential students, room and board, as well as lunch for commuter students. Not included in this charge is the cost of books, supplies, travel expenses (for both classes and extracurricular excursions), and incidentals.

Young Women's Leadership Institute, 8-Day Session

This amount includes tuition,  room and board. Not included in this charge is the cost of books, supplies, travel expenses (for both classes and extracurricular excursions), and incidentals.

Dance in the City, 10-Day Session

This amount includes tuition, excursions, nightly performances, and for residential students, room and board. Not included in this charge is the cost of books, supplies, travel expenses (for both classes and extracurricular excursions), and incidentals.

Summer Science Seminar, 1-Week Session

This amount includes tuition,and for residential students, room and board. Not included in this charge is the cost of books, supplies, travel expenses (for both classes and extracurricular excursions), and incidentals.

Entrepreneurs in Training, 10-Day Session

This amount includes tuition, room and board. Not included in this charge is the cost of books, supplies, travel expenses (for both classes and extracurricular excursions), and incidentals.

DEPOSIT: $500

Upon acceptance into Barnard's Summer Programs, all students are sent registration forms to be completed and returned with a $500 deposit. The deposit will be applied to the program charge and is not refundable.

Applying to Two Programs

Please note that applicants may apply to ONLY the 4-week program OR a 1-week program.  If an applicant is closed out of the program that he/she applies for, the Office of Precollege Programs will contact the student and offer a second choice, if available. 

If a student is interested in attending BOTH the 1-week Liberal Arts Intensive AND YWLI, or the 1-week Liberal Arts Intensive AND Dance in the City, please note the following:

• The College cannot provide housing or storage of belongings for the one week gap between the end of one program and the start of another;
• Two application fees will be required to process the applications for two programs; and
• If a student decides not to attend the second program after starting the first, note our refund policy.
