Sustainable Initiative Consulting Board

The Sustainability Initiative Consulting Board (SICB) serves as the means by which students actively research and assess campus sustainability to maintain and/or improve this social commitment. It acts as a liaison between the student body and administration in these efforts. This committee is responsible for developing policies and building infrastructure to increase campus sustainability including but not limited to waste reduction, energy consumption, and water conservation.

Membership: The committee is comprised of appointed students.

Barnard EcoReps and Barnard Environmentalists united forces in Fall 2015 to take on environmental initiatives on and around campus. Barnard EcoReps works on a range of projects, so you can get involved in the work that most interests you--whether that's running big campus events like the Green Sale, hosting discussions and speakers at Sustainable Suppers, or planting in a plot in Riverside Park.

Meeting: Monday 7-8 pm, Barnard Hall 404

Divest Barnard

Divest Barnard is a student group dedicated to climate justice and divesting Barnard from all fossil fuels! They seek to maintain an active presence on campus and in the activist community that encourages students to engage with the struggle for social and environmental justice. Divest Barnard sits on the Presidential Task Force to Examine Divestment voted by the Board of Trustees in December 2015.

Meetings: 5:30pm-7pm on Mondays in Diana 504.
