The New York City Civic Engagement Program, Barnard Career Development, and Columbia Community Service (CCS) are delighted to announce that the 10th Annual Stationary Bike-A-Thon will be held Thursday, April 4th, from 10AM to 6PM in the LeFrak Gymnasium.
Come ride with us as we bring our community together through physical activity to raise money for our neighbors in need. All donations go directly to programming by CCS-supported 501(c)3 social service organizations in Morningside Heights and Harlem. There are no overhead expenses, and no money is spent on salaries.
We encourage you either to form your own team, ride as an individual, or support an individual or team with a pledge. If you don’t have time to ride, sponsor a friend and stop by to cheer them on! Pledges can either be a lump sum donation of your choice, or per mile that your sponsored team or individual actually logs.
This year’s registration and pledge forms are available for download here, or you can pick them up in hard copy from the Barnard Career Development Office (2nd Floor, Elliott Hall), the Human Resources Department at Altschul 101, the Barnard Public Safety Office, and the CCS Office at 304 Earl Hall at Columbia.
Participants should register on the day of the event; however, if you are interested in participating in the individual time trial competition, please e-mail Valerie Chow at firstname.lastname@example.org to let her know your preferred timeslot for the hour-long competition.
Please call Valerie at 212-854-2033 or email her at email@example.com with any questions or if you are available to volunteer at the event. We look forward to seeing you on April 4th, as we all get our daily dose of cardiovascular activity and help support our friends and neighbors!
