An interactive digital exhibit that examines our earliest history of foreign language instruction to the innovative global initiatives in pedagogy, research, and participation of Barnard's faculty and students in the 21st century.
The purpose of this exhibit is to provide a fun, safe forum where our students can recognize the importance of foreign language acquisition and find their own motivation to learn. In this interactive digital space, we will explore:
- How foreign language acquisition develops empathic global citizens
- How Barnard language faculty incorporate technology, contemporary topics, and new pedagogical methods in their classrooms
- How language education has influenced faculty across academic disciplines, and how knowledge of foreign languages enriches research and personal lives
