Learn how to use worms to turn your kitchen scraps into a rich organic fertilizer, and help reduce your carbon footprint. In this hands-on workshop, the NYC Compost Project in Manhattan demonstrates how to set up and maintain an indoor worm bin. Worm bins will be available for purchase at the reduced price of $44.

Registration is required.  Please visit to register. The $5 attendance fee is a suggested donation for Barnard College students and all donations will benefit the NYC Compost Project, a program funded and managed by the Department of Sanitation, Bureau of Waste Prevention, Reuse and Recycling.

This workshop is hosted by the New York City Civic Engagement Program and the Barnard Ecoreps.
