For the inaugural event in BCRW’s newly-expanded series, Critical Caribbean Feminisms, Erna Brodber and Nicole Dennis-Benn discuss a range of topics through the lens of Caribbean culture, including the diaspora, feminism, and gender.

Jamaican writer, sociologist, and social activist, Erna Brodber is the author of Nothing’s Mat, The Rainmaker’s Mistake, and The Continent of Black Consciousness: On the History of the African Diaspora from Slavery to the Present. Nicole Dennis-Benn is the author of the acclaimed novel, Here Comes the Sun. Their conversation will be followed by a moderated discussion.
