Demystifying Investment Banking

Wednesday, May 18 – Friday, May 20, 2011

Separate the myths from the reality. Uncover what a career in the Investment Banking industry is really like. To establish your place in the world of global finance you need to know where you are going. But how do you know where to start when you are a Sophomore?

Our Demystifying Investment Banking program will help sophomore students from any major demystify the complex world of finance. This is your opportunity to find out for yourself whether a career at Deutsche Bank is right for you.

The Program

Your training starts with an introduction to what working on Wall Street is really like. You’ll learn how financial markets work and Deutsche Bank’s place in them. Though it may seem basic, a broad knowledge base is important if you want to achieve your potential.

You’ll be exposed to different areas of the Bank, and meet a variety of our professionals, Analysts and Associates right through to senior management. We hope these introductions will help you to build a professional network that will prove invaluable throughout your career.

At the end of three days, you will leave with the guidance, the network and the practical skills to set you on a path to a career in the industry.

To be eligible, you must be a sophomore student studying to graduate in 2013. We have designed this program for young men and women from the cultural, geographic and ethnic backgrounds which reflect the growing diversity of the customers and markets we serve around the globe.

To apply, please submit your resume and answer one of the following essay questions (500 words or less). Only one document can be submitted, therefore, please combine your resume and essay into one document.

1) What is the best advice you have ever received? Did you apply it and if so, how?
2) If you had to describe yourself by a quotation, what would the quote be?
3) Write about some issue of local, national, or international concern and its significance to you.

Applications close midnight Sunday, April 17, 2011. To apply for the opportunity to participate in this event look up in Barnard NACElink: Job title: Deutsche Bank Site Visit- Demystifying Investment Banking and Job ID:2786
