Join us for an advance screening of "New Worlds Rising," a documentary on the flourishing of the Comanche nation during the colonial era. Created as part of the new four-part PBS series entitled "Native America," the film spotlights research by conducted by Barnard College's archaeological field program in New Mexico, directed by Prof. Severin Fowles.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion on indigenous archaeology and the decolonization of Native American history.

Panelists include Jhane Myers (Comanche/Blackfeet artist), Dr. Lindsay Montgomery '08 (Muscogee archaeologist and Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona), Gary Glassman (documentary filmmaker, Providence Pictures), and Severin Fowles (archaeologist and Associate Professor at Barnard College).

All are welcome to stay and continue the conversation during a wine and cheese reception to follow.
