Relay For Life

Saturday, April 9, 2011
12 PM to 12 AM
Columbia University

Volunteer for Relay For Life!  Relay For Life is the premiere fundraiser for the American Cancer Society (ACS).  Last year alone, Relays in 5,000 U.S. communities and 20 foreign countries raised over $1.5 billion for the American Cancer Society.  Those dollars are being put to work right on Columbia University's campus as there are 10 researchers on grants, totaling over $1 million, from the ACS.

Approximately 100 volunteers are needed for the day of this event, which is taking place on Saturday, April 9, 2011 from Noon-Midnight.  Volunteer shifts are 4 hours in length and volunteers can sign up for one of three slots: Noon-4 PM, 4-8 PM, and 8-Midnight.

All of the members of the Relay For Life Planning Committee have been working tirelessly to make sure the event goes well and that the event raises at least $73,000 for cancer research this year.  Volunteers are needed in order pull of an event of this magnitude (over 500 attendees are expected to attend)!
