First-Year

Class of 2020 (including Barnard Opportunity Program applicants)

Applicants who need supplemental funds to cover College costs are encouraged to apply for financial aid from Barnard. The decision of the Committee on Admissions to admit a student is not affected by the fact that a student has applied for or demonstrated need for financial aid. All information submitted by the student and her family in support of her application for financial aid is treated with utmost confidentiality. Entering first-year students are notified of financial aid decisions when they are notified of admission.

Barnard Opportunity Program (BOP) Scholars applicants should complete the same financial aid application forms as regular decision applicants. Click here for more information about BOP.

Documents to be submitted directly to the Financial Aid Office may be faxed to 212-854-2902 or mailed to the Financial Aid Office, 3009 Broadway, New York, NY 10027.  Please do not email tax documents--tax documents sent via email will not be accepted.  Barnard does not participate in College Board's Institutional Document Service (IDOC).

Federal Aid Only: Students who are not interested in applying for need-based Barnard College Grant aid, but would like to take advantage of U.S. Department of Education Federal Student Aid, including Federal Direct Stafford loans and the Federal Pell Grant, are not required to complete the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE or the Noncustodial Profile.
