Martha Bakos Dietz '76, a trustee of Lutheran Medical Center, was presented with the Distinguished Trustee Award by the United Hospital Fund. During a ceremony held at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, Dietz along with 27 trustees from metropolitan area hospitals were recognized for their leadership, generosity, and extraordinary service to not-for-profit and municipal hospitals in New York City, New Jersey, and Long Island communities.
“The commitment of these trustees to the hospitals they serve makes them a vital force in our rapidly changing health care system,” said Fund President Jim Tallon. “They provide unique perspective, combining sensitivity to local needs, profound consideration of the patient experience, and a concern for quality and fiscal responsibility. We at the United Hospital Fund are pleased to have this opportunity to pay tribute to their exemplary efforts and contributions.”
