On May 1 at the 2012 Gershom Mendes Seixas Award Dinner, Vice President of College Relations Dorothy Denburg '70 was honored by Columbia/Barnard Hillel for her contributions to Jewish life on campus. Her award was presented by Dr. Judith W. Schwartz '78.

During the dinner, Barnard President Debora Spar and Columbia President Lee Bollinger both provided welcome remarks to an audience of over 300 attendees. A tribute film created by Elena Lefkowitz BP'16 was shown in recognition of Denburg and her fellow honoree Rabbi Haskel Lookstein CC'53, whose award was presented by Jay Lefkowitz CC’84, LAW “87, PB’16.

Elena and Jay Lefkowitz, along with Dr. Lu Steinberg BP’15 and Dr. Michael Schulder CC’78, MED’82, BP15, co-chaired the fundraising dinner.
