Friday, Nov. 2, 4-5:30 pm (reception to follow)

202 Altschul Hall

Join us for an advance screening of "New Worlds Rising," a documentary on the growth of the Comanche nation created as part of a new PBS series on Native American history. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion on indigenous archaeology and the decolonization of Native American history by those involved in the making of the film. Panelists include Jhane Myers (Comanche/Blackfeet artist), Lindsay Montgomery (Muscogee archaeologist and Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona), Gary Glassman (documentary filmmaker, Providence Pictures), and Severin Fowles (archaeologist and Associate Professor at Barnard College).

All are welcome to stay and continue the conversation during a wine and cheese reception to follow.
