Barnard announced a new opportunity for students whose interests lie in engineering to complete both a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard and Master of Science degree from Columbia University’s Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science—making Barnard one of the the first colleges for women to offer a program of this kind.

On October 18, the 2018 Columbia University Athletics Hall of Fame, marking the 35th anniversary of the Columbia-Barnard Athletics Consortium, is honoring Barnard basketball team member Charlene Schuessler Fideler '90 and members of Barnard’s 1985-86 basketball team.

One of the many aspects students value about their Barnard experience is the opportunity to compete in NCAA Division I Athletics through the Columbia/Barnard Athletic Consortium. Barnard is the only college for women—and one of only a few liberal arts colleges in the country—to offer Division I athletics. Here we catch up with two seniors on the women's rowing team: Chloe Keating and Anneliese Gallagher.
