During the week of November 11 - 15, Barnard’s Office of International Programs will celebrate International Education Week with a variety of on-campus events, including a film screening that will highlight global women’s leadership, an information session on international career opportunities, and a reading and discussion with Zadie Smith. See below for a full list of ways to get involved. Also visit the Office of International Programs website for more details.
International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education that aims to prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences in the United States.
Each day next week, the Barnard Office of International Programs will have staff members outside Liz’s Place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. They are available to answer questions about all of Barnard’s global initiatives including study abroad, overseas internship and research opportunities, and the global symposia series.
The Diana Cafe and Hewitt Dining Hall will be serving cuisines from a different country every day, and Liz’s Place will feature a selection of teas from around the world. Barnard residence halls will also host themed events; students are encouraged to ask their RAs for more information.
