Barnard College is pleased to announce that President Debora Spar will participate in a special White House event hosted by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama this coming Thursday, January 16. She will join with other distinguished educators and policy-makers as they gather to launch a plan of action aimed at increasing college opportunities for traditionally under-served students.
"I am thrilled to take part in Thursday's event at the White House and to add Barnard's voice to the issue of college access," said President Spar. "At Barnard we are working hard to give students from a wide range of backgrounds the best possible education. I look forward to sharing in this important discussion and to building on our current efforts, in 2014 and beyond."
