Barnard Distinguished Scholar and instructor of Economics, Daniel Hamermesh has published an article in the National Bureau of Economic Research entitled "Taking Time Seriously: Income, Wage, and Price Discrimination." Written in collaboration with Michigan State University Professor Jeff Biddle, the article examines the theory of household production (such as sleep and TV watching) and how it differs between minority communities in the US, immigrant communities in France, and the majority.
