Concert organist and Prof. Gail Archer recently performed at the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral in Florence, Italy. Archer, who is also the  director of the Barnard-Columbia Chorus and Chamber Choir, played eight pieces (in addition to two encores) including Bach's "An Wasserflussen Babylon" and Mary Howe's "Elegy," and received a standing ovation.

Her performance in Florence, Italy was the first stop on a summer-long European tour, which will take her to the Czech Republic, Germany, Ukraine, Italy, and Denmark.  For Archer's full tour schedule, visit her website.
