A recent U.S. News and World Report study finds that Barnard ranks among the top liberal arts colleges in the country where accepted students choose to enroll. This metric, called a yield, can indicate a more desirable school for accepted students, according to the report. Barnard's yield in fall 2013 was 50.4 percent, the 14th-highest in the nation, while the average yield among reporting National Liberal Arts Colleges was 29.2 percent.
