Novelist and Barnard professor Hisham Matar curated the Series in 2012. We are a forum that considers the world through the works of contemporary artists and thinkers.
Based at Barnard College in Manhattan, New York City, the Barnard International Artists Series is a forum that considers the world through the works of contemporary artists and thinkers. Every year we invite writers, filmmakers, dancers, dramatists, visual artists, architects and composers from all over the world to speak about and show their work.
All events are free and open to the public.
