Intent on making the future better for women, ardent feminists Celia, Ray, Anne, and Margaret have pledged to live together in a (very) intentional community of young women. But as the rules of their private utopia unravel, their beliefs come into question testing the deepest bonds of their friendship — and sanity.
This new play, co-commissioned by Barnard and downtown theatre company New Georges, presents an original, contemporary riff on Hamlet. The play is directed by Assistant Professor of Professional Practice Alice Reagan, features thesis performer India Choquette, and is stage managed by thesis student Amelia Lembeck.
There will be a reception following the Thursday night performance and a post-show discussion following the Friday night performance.
