On March 23, 2025, Michelle Greene, assistant professor of Neuroscience & Behavior and Psychology, published new research in Nature Humanities & Social Sciences Communications. The paper, titled “Digital divides in scene recognition: uncovering socioeconomic biases in deep learning systems,” reveals significant biases in artificial intelligence models used for scene classification.

Alice Reagan, Professor of Professional Practice and Director of Undergraduate Studies in Drama and Theatre Art for Columbia College, has been awarded the inaugural Creative Research Grant from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts. 

On January 7, 2025, Rachel Narehood Austin, Diana T. and P. Roy Vagelos Professor of Chemistry, co-authored new research in the Journal of the American Chemical Society, alongside research assistant Lauren Hendricks (CU GS '23) and collaborators Tierani Green ’24, Lily Kunczynski ’25, August Jaunzarins Roberts ’25, Naomi Miller ’27, and Noga Rafalin ’27.
