About Jay Baeza
Jati (“Jay”) Baeza is Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the Connecticut-based asset management firm, Bridgewater Associates. Jay joined Bridgewater from Morgan Stanley, where she was a Global Diversity and Inclusion Advisor for the Investment Banking, Global Capital Markets, and Research divisions. In this capacity, she led all diversity and inclusion strategy and integration for these divisions, in close partnership with divisional CEOs and COOs.
Before Morgan Stanley, Jay was in a senior leadership role at College Board, where she was responsible for strategic partnerships, philanthropy, and underrepresented student programs. She grew and enhanced partnerships with state leaders and leading, mission-driven organizations to expand College Board’s impact — for example, by increasing scholarship dollars that collegians received through the SAT Suite of Assessments from $7M to $350M. She devised and led new National Recognition Programs, which identified over 30,000 high-achieving, underrepresented students each year. She served on the steering committee for Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and external communication strategies, working closely with the organization’s leadership and HR team. Before College Board, Jay worked in the fine arts as a museum educator, in marketing and communications in the NYC office of an international art consulting firm, and as an art dealer focused on Cuban art.
In her free time, Jay is a docent at The Metropolitan Museum of Art where she leads guided tours for the public and special groups. Jay holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in Art History and Spanish Literature.
