Winter Break Housing

The residence halls will be closed for Winter Break beginning at 12noon on Wednesday, December 23, 2026, through 9am on Saturday, January 16, 2026.

Students needing temporary or continued access to the residence halls during the break must submit the Winter Break Housing Form.

  • Log into the Housing Portal and click WINTER BREAK
  • Deadline: 4pm Friday, November 20, 2026
  • Cost: $1500

Students must have a campus room assignment for both the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters to be eligible for Winter Break Housing.

  • Fall residents not returning for the Spring must move out by 12noon Wednesday, December 23, 2026.
    • Extensions are available only for students enrolled in classes with in-person exams scheduled for Wednesday, December 23. Requests must be submitted by 4pm, Friday, December 7, 2026.
  • Students new to campus housing for the Spring will move in when the residence halls reopen in January (see Move In for dates/times).

Students who sign up for Break Housing may be temporarily relocated to another residence hall to stay on campus for the break.
