Computer Labs in the Residence Halls

  • 616 W 116th St (1st Floor)
  • Plimpton (1st Floor)
  • Quad (2 labs on the lower level of Sulzberger)

 

Internet Access in the Res Halls

Internet access is in the residence halls is supported by Student Computing (212-851-9100).

Students living in residence halls other than CG & 110th St will connect to the Barnard Wireless.

  • CU students living in BC residence halls:  Because you do not have a @barnard.edu account to connect to the Barnard Secure WiFi, you should connnect to the Barnard Guest WiFi (which is still secure, but doesn't require login with a Barnard account).

Students living in Cathedral Gardens will connect via ethernet cable to a Time Warner Cable Modem.

Students living in 601 W 110th St will connect wirelessly to a Verizon Fios Modem (see below).

  • Find your FIOS modem name (SSID) and password under your room assignment on the Res Life Web Portal
  • Look for the WiFi network that matches the SSID on the page above and enter the provided password
  • If you are not able to connect after these steps, please email housing@barnard.edu detailing the exact issue you are experiencing preventing you from connecting (and what kind of computer you are using)

 

Reporting Internet Problems

Student who have a problem with their internet access should report the problem to Student Computing.
