Fun Facts
Why did you choose to work at Barnard?
As a professional who’s passionate about college access work and making higher education a more equitable place for all identities, I was drawn to Barnard’s commitment to empowering women in education. The intersections of Barnard’s unique pillars make this a one of a kind place, and I’ve been awed by the curiosity, ambition, and kindness of Barnard students and community members.
What is your favorite book?
Ugh, so hard to choose, but likely a tie between A Faithful Place by Tana French and The Verifiers by Jane Pek. I love mysteries/thrillers, so both are great in their own rights. French’s prose is so beautiful, and A Faithful PlaceThe Verifiers is actually set in New York City!
What is your favorite thing to do in NYC?
Eat everything. The culinary diversity in the city is truly unmatched. Whatever I’m craving, I can get, and I’m always able to try something new every day.
What is your favorite place on campus?
I swear I enjoy more things than food, but Liz’s Place is so comforting. So many great coffee and pastry options.
What is a random fun fact about yourself?
I love linguistics and language-learning. To varying degrees of speaking and/or reading proficiency, I’m knowledgeable in French, Modern Standard Arabic, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Greek. I have music playlists for almost every language imaginable.
