Biography
Susanna is a proud native New Yorker who studied Biological Sciences and Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University. She worked in healthcare at Weill Cornell and on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic before discovering her passion for working with high school students and admissions. This led to her involvement in admissions at Cornell University, and she later served as an admissions officer at Columbia University before joining Barnard College. At Barnard, Susanna coordinates events, on-campus and virtual, including Fall and Summer Open House, Barnard Bound and Becoming Barnard for admitted students. She is passionate about connecting with students and helping them navigate their college journey and empowering the next generation of leaders.

Why did you choose to work at Barnard?
I can’t emphasize the mission enough. I was drawn to Barnard because of its commitment to empower bold and extraordinary women, providing them a world-class education to become the best that they can be, in one of the greatest cities in the world.
What is your favorite book?
I actually have 2 favorite books right now, both written by Michelles:

What is your favorite thing to do in NYC?
Eating around NYC! The food scene in NYC is incredibly diverse and there are literally so many amazing cuisines from all over the world to choose and eat from.
What is your favorite place on campus?
Liz’s Place - It has the perfect ambiance and lighting to catch up with friends, get some work done or have a sweet drink and treat.
What is a random fun fact about yourself?
I’m a huge foodie and love traveling. I’ve eaten at over 1,000 places in New York City and even ran out of space in my passport before it expired.
