Chancey '27 “I love that at Barnard, I am presented with so much balance and freedom regarding every aspect of my college life. Barnard is a small women's liberals college but also a co-ed large research institution. Barnard is in New York City but still provides a college town through Morningside Heights and our campus. At Barnard, there's nothing you can't do, and I truly feel like I get to hand-pick which college experience I want every single day.”

Aniya '29 “The culture is definitely my favorite! I believe Barnard does a great job of selecting women with diverse perspectives, but we all come together to form a community that genuinely cares about one another and the world around us, and takes action to show it. For example, at the end of the school year, so many items are recycled or given away for free instead of thrown out. Sustainability is huge here. On a more personal level, a student once helped me carry my heavy suitcase all the way to my dorm through a snowstorm after I came back from visiting family. That kindness is a trademark on campus!”
