Join our Post-Baccalaureate Fellow Khepera in a Seed Bomb Making Workshop and Community Discussion. The event will begin with a guided meditation, followed by a demo on how to create seed bombs. Seed bombs are small clusters of soil, clay, and seeds that can be scattered onto the ground to promote plant growth in urban spaces, gardens, and other environments. As we make, we will engage in a discussion guided by reflective questions centered on grief and love as tools for personal and societal transformation. All participants are invited to bring with them some piece of inspiration, something that struck a chord of joy or reflection in their life recently that they would want to share with others in this intimate space. Could be poetry, prose, a tweet, a song, or even an instrument!
This event is open to the public and hosted at ADP on 114th street. You do not need to be Columbia affiliated to access this event.
This event is part of Khepera’s ongoing research into healing community through making as part of her Post-Baccalaureate fellowship research at the Design Center.
