After-Hours Support for Barnard Students

Barnard Primary Care Health Service and Furman Counseling Center provide after-hours support for urgent or potentially dangerous situations that cannot wait until normal business hours. Here’s how you can reach assistance:

Primary Care Health Service (PCHS) After-Hours Support
For urgent medical issues outside of business hours:

  • Call the Nurse Triage service via AccessNurse: 1-212-854-2091, option 1
  • Availability: 5:00 PM - 9:00 AM on weekdays, 24/7 on weekends and holidays
  • Eligible Users: Currently registered Barnard students only

Furman Counseling Center After-Hours Psychological Support
For urgent mental health concerns when the Furman Counseling Center is closed:

  • Call the Psychological Emergency Line via ProtoCall:* 1-212-854-2092, option 1
  • Availability: After 5pm weekday, 24/7 on weekends and holidays
  • Eligible Users: Currently registered Barnard students only
