Urgent Care visits are for urgent medical issues.

Some examples of common urgent care issues are: sore throat, sinus infection, allergy symptoms, urgent sexually transmitted infection concerns, urinary tract infection, yeast infection, sprained ankle, back pain, cold/virus symptoms, and cough.

Length: Approximately 20 - 30 minutes

Gynecological Care are for routine and urgent gynecological health concerns.

Common reasons for scheduling a gynecological appointment include: annual exams, birth control consultations, menstrual irregularities, vaginal infections, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, and reproductive health counseling.For more information about our reproductive health services, see here. 

Length: Approximately 30 - 60 minutes
 

Primary Care visits are for ongoing or chronic medical issues, referral requests, and follow-ups.

Common reasons for scheduling a primary care appointment include: management of chronic conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, or hypertension), medication management, routine check-ups, and preventive care.

Length: Approximately 30 - 40 minutes

General Care types range from 10 to 30 minutes and include PPD placement and/or reading, trans-healthcare,  vaccine appointments, and nutritional information consultations.

Length: Approximately 10 - 30 minutes

What To Know

All students must bring their insurance card (either the physical card or a print out of the front and back of the card) every time they visit the PCHS.

You can cancel an appointment by calling PCHS at 1-212-854-2091 or by visiting the office in person. Appointments cannot be canceled through voicemail, gBear/personal email, or Open Communicator Secure Messaging.
