Incoming Parent & Family Orientation
Incoming Parent & Family Orientation
Thank you for attending Incoming Parent & Family Orientation on Sunday, August 28, 2022! It was wonderful to welcome the parents and families of our incoming first-year and transfer students to Barnard.
Our sessions shared what to expect as your student transitions to college, as well as how you can best support your student in that transition and throughout their time at Barnard. All programming was recorded, and links to the recordings were shared via email with parents and families in early September. You may also reach out to the Office of Family Engagement to request the links by emailing parents@barnard.edu.
Protocols for In-Person Events
In addition to making each event at Barnard as celebratory as possible, the health and safety of our community is paramount. Please note the following protocols for in-person events.
- In compliance with Barnard’s COVID-19 policies, all in-person attendees are required to be fully vaccinated and boosted, if eligible.
- Both students and visitors, even though vaccinated, are required to be masked when indoors except when eating or drinking. If food and drink are consumed indoors, event attendees are encouraged to mask between bites and sips.
- All visitors are required to complete the Visitor/Vendor Health Screen form attesting that they are vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19 and are feeling well upon their visit. The form must be completed before entering Barnard buildings and on the same day they plan to access campus. If you are feeling unwell, please do not come to campus.
Noting current rates of COVID-19 infection within our city, attendees may also choose to mask outdoors, especially in crowded areas, as well as consider antigen testing within 24 hours before attending an event.
